Aileen E. Meech

Obituary Aileen Meech Aileen Elaine (Tamney) Meech, 88, passed away May 8, 2012, at Aegis of Bellevue, Bellevue, Washington. She was born March 15, 1924 in Sun Valley, Idaho on a dairy farm. The family later moved to Ashland, Oregon where Aileen graduated from high school in 1942 & attended college in Medford, Oregon. She specialized in Accounting. In 1956 she married Kenneth Ray Meech Sr., they moved to Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood & later relocated to Tacoma Washington. Aileen was active in both communities at Our Lady of Fatima parish in Seattle, St. Charles Borromeo parish in Tacoma, helped out as attendance lady at Bellarmine Preparatory school, sold local real estate, in addition to being a lovely homemaker, she always made her family her first priority. She is survived by her beloved son Kenneth Ray Meech Jr. and daughter-in-law Kimberly loved her deeply, and will miss her Irish wit & truly loving spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Meech Sr., her parents & siblings. Aileen moved to Bellevue in 2008 to be near her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed her last years with her cat Sunny, puppy visits from Rio, and the most amazing group of staff & neighbor's at Aegis of Bellevue. Aileen was fun to tease and laughed easily! A private graveside will take place at Tacoma's Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Charles Borromeo School, Bellarmine Preparatory school in Tacoma or Aegis of Bellevue in Aileen's name.
