Agatha Mary Leedom

Obituary Agatha Mary Leedom Agatha Mary Leedom was born to John and Elizabeth Archbold on August 29, 1921 in Kent, WA. She gently slipped away on July 2, 2013. Also known as Janet, she was the fourth of eight children. She met the love of her life, William J. (Bill) Leedom in 1940 while they were both working at the Music Box Theater in downtown Tacoma and married in 1942. She had a long and successful thirty-year career at Nordstrom in Tacoma. Mom was a beautiful and gracious woman whom many loved and admired. Janet was the proud mother of five, grandmother of 13, and great grandmother of nine. She is survived by her children: Bill Leedom (Liz), Barb Leedom-Hearst (Dave), Trish Zander (Jerry), Chris Ward (Alan), and Deb Loomis (Jim), her grandchildren: Bill Leedom (Jill), Katie Edwards (Kyle), Amy Leedom, Betsy Christianson, Emily Leedom-Hearst, Alison Leedom-Hearst, Gina Gildyard (DeSean), Angela Veetutu (Tevita), Sarah Dickenson (Brian), Julia Heflin (Lloyd), Maggie Loomis, Dan Loomis, Kevin Loomis and her great grandchildren: William and Jack Leedom, Rylan and Declan Edwards, Zavier and soon-to-be-born baby-boy Gildyard, Gianna and Makai Veetutu, and Liam Dickenson. A celebration of Janet's life will be held on Sunday, July 7 at 11:00 AM on the lower lawn by the lake at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club, 13204 Country Club Drive SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.
