Adrian (Turco) Richmond

October 30, 1932 — May 2, 2015

Obituary Adrian Richmond (Pat Turco)   Pat, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 2, 2015. Born to parents Rose Rooney Richmond and Milton Richmond on October 30, 1932, Pat proudly graduated from Saint Leo's and Seattle University, where she was president of the school's National Honor Society chapter. She remained a devout Irish Catholic, anchored by the Church's rites and traditions. Outgoing and generous, she enthusiastically served on numerous boards, including the Franciscan Foundation, L'Arche, B.A.S.H., and St. Nicholas School Capital Campaign. She was a founding organizer of St. Patrick's R.E.A.C.H. auction, a chair of the St. Joseph Ball, and a member of Philomathea and Catholic Woman's Club. Though Pat loved serving the community, her passion lay in raising her four Turco children: R. Milton (Jodi), Michael (Cynthia), Patrick (Cynthia), and Theresa Turco Trebilcock. Pat's home in Old Town Tacoma was open to daily visitors who appreciated her multi-course formal dinners and maternal wisdom. She was an energetic grandmother and great-aunt who joyfully attended religious celebrations, birthday parties, graduations, musical programs, games, and dance recitals. Each child felt individually recognized and loved. She is survived by her grandchildren: Dominic, Antonio, Sarah, Mariah, Drew, Matti, Isabella, and Mario Turco as well as Avé and Annika Trebilcock. Pat leaves behind nieces and nephews and dozens of friends. She was predeceased by her cherished sister, Rosemary Bujacich, brother-in-law J.B., and granddaughter Catarina Turco. We will all miss Pat's hand-written thank you notes, funny stories, and smile. Vigil Service (Rosary) will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home in Tacoma on Tuesday, May 12th at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tacoma on Wednesday, May 13th at 11 a.m., with reception to follow immediately. Interment will be graveside at Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home, 253-572-6003..
